So near the end of December 2004, I sent in a few photos (01, 02, 03, 04) to this organization called The Kestrel Trust. They were looking for photos of the Mount Tom and Mount Holyoke Ranges. I happened to have a few lying around which, in my opinion, were decent photos. I sent them in, not really having a second thought about them, until a week ago, when I found out one of my photos had been used in a full-page newspaper ad for a WGBY documentary on the mountain range!
A couple days ago, I got a call from WGBY, asking permission to use my photos in the documentary, and for promotional purposes. They said they loved the photos, and wanted to use them. Of course I said it was OK by me. I checked out wgby.org, and right there on the front page is a link to information about the documentary “Focusing on the Range”. I went to the page, and the first thing I see is one of my photos near the top. When you click on the photo, it brings you to a photo gallery, where four of my photos are displayed.
Make sure to watch the documentary on PBS Saturday night at 8pm.
